Growing up in the countryside, Drew Ray only had access to country music to keep himself entertained. He even mentioned in various interviews that he could remember word for word almost every song that was popular during the ‘90s and 2000s.

Alongside his love for music, Drew's passion for performing began when he was five years old, on the living room floor of his grandparents' house. His grandfather, a retired Canadian soldier, would amaze his grandchildren, especially Drew, by performing magic tricks.

He then began practicing independently, and the two of them (Drew as his sidekick) soon started putting on concerts for the family. The looks of awe on their faces ignited a lifelong fascination within him. Drew then continued on to act in local theater productions. All of his experiences significantly influenced his path as an adult.

When he was fourteen years old, Drew joined an Improv Troupe. During his senior year, he auditioned for the Spring Feature and was cast in the lead role. That summer, he started auditioning for TV and film, and on the day before his nineteenth birthday, he secured his first role in R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour.

Drew subsequently appeared on several television shows including Fairly Legal (2012), Arrow (2013), Supernatural (2016), Supergirl (2017), Somewhere Between (2017), among other noteworthy ones. He also starred in films such as Mom's Day Away (2014), All of My Heart (2015), Dater's Handbook (2016), The Birthday Wish (2017), All for Love (2017), and more.
