Is Jared Leto Gay?

Someone anonymous inquired:
In a 2004 interview with Out magazine, Jared stated he isn't drawn to men, and isn't homosexual. 2oder3dinge (.) tumblr (.) com/post/5942407642/ it-was-the-deepest-love-you-can-imagine
Actually, that particular interview is among my favorites featuring him. It's from 2004, preceding the release of "Alexander". Jared was then still reliant on film roles for financial stability. Moreover, he was persistently facing gay rumors at the time and attempting to articulate enough without revealing all.
He actually articulates: "If I encountered a man and I was drawn to him... I'd probably act on it." Naturally, that's straightforward for me to say nowadays. If such an event occurred, it might be a perplexing and challenging circumstance, considering the society we reside in.
The very idea that he, up until this period within the entertainment sector and media, has only been perceived as a heterosexual male, in his mid-thirties, is aware enough to characterize that extremely intense, specific, fearful sensation people who are grappling with accepting their sexuality experience - it's telling.
This is because it's not just that he alludes to coming to terms internally as being confusing or difficult, or that he's repelled by the prospect of being with a man, actually the reverse - it's what he notes would be the authentic concern for him in regards to exploring his sexual identity: what others would think.
'Considering the world we live in.'
This tiny snippet of a sentence he casually mentioned, when it's abundantly clear he's dedicated time thinking about, has always been what has captivated me about him - as a human being.
People are fast to dismiss him as a buffoon or a modelizer or a guy perpetually exploiting women in his life - and I simply don't believe they comprehend the entire context.
The fact that he's capable of articulating in words that extremely isolating, terrifying feeling that everyone not experiencing a "conventional" romantic life feels - stemming entirely from the scrutiny imposed on them by the outside world due to their existence outside the "typical" mold - is something I doubt many straight males would comprehend, let alone be able to express so fluently.
Nor describe in such a manner that doesn't at all condemn or critique a man for having such inclinations, but assigns the blame to society for its inability to grasp and embrace it.
Accept him.
Look. There are a multitude of individuals who will likely condemn me for even typing this stuff - yet - consider the era of this interview, released in September 2004. Likely penned sometime in July, or August. He was likely interviewed in June.
He had just concluded spending from September 2003 through March 2004 filming "Alexander" on location, embodying Colin Farrell's confidante and the love of his life.
During this time, Jared was simultaneously composing the bulk of the songs that would ultimately constitute 'A Beautiful Lie'. Listen to that album - possibly the most intimate of his entire collection, both preceding and succeeding it - and attempt to convince me he wasn't already discovering himself attracted to a man and definitely pursuing it. The whole album centers on a man reconciling with himself - his needs, desires, and yearnings - his fears, hesitations, and losses.
You're probably the type of person who believes 'A Modern Myth' concerns a fan.
I'll just include this excerpt from the initial 'Alexander' script here:
Or believe that this selfie from Thailand in April 2014 signified nothing - despite being taken on the identical beach that some of the "Alexander" crew (including Jared and Colin) vacationed at subsequent to filming, approximately a decade to the date in 2004:
But yeah. Totally NoHomo.
