Las Vegas presents a ten-to-one chance of pure indulgence
It may be the case that you believe a city dubbed Sin City wouldn't truly live up to its reputation. However, Las Vegas is just as dreamlike as its very ambitious nickname suggests. Visitors arrive with a specific purpose: be it for shows, slot machines, clubs, stores, festivities, dining, sunshine (though certainly not rest). Both heterosexuals and homosexuals travel from all corners of the globe seeking the magnificent, the opulent, and the scandalous, implying that everyone tends to become a bit more showy while in Vegas. And who knows, chance might just hold a hidden advantage, perhaps even hidden from plain sight, for you to discover.
When planning a trip to Las Vegas, a significant choice arises: whether one should lodge directly on the Strip or slightly off-Strip. Despite the savings you might find by steering clear of the Strip (referred to as Las Vegas Boulevard for those unfamiliar), most sought-after attractions are conveniently located there, alongside all the dazzling spectacle one could possibly desire. The gay-friendly Blue Moon Resort is situated off the main Strip and presents strip-off entertainment too, thereby providing the option of clothing-optional leisure. What about a pool party? In addition, Luxor hosts an LGBT pool-side bash each Sunday during summer, which is definitely an occasion not worth missing. As temperatures soar, seeking ways to remain refreshed and hydrated while flirting without restraint becomes a must. Despite the prevalence of mixing, mingling, and more, remember that Vegas tends to be most enjoyable when experienced alongside companions or a loved one, rather than going alone.
The LGBTQ nightlife scene, while being rather low-key and compact, is nonetheless quite fun and fabulous. As there is no specific gayborhood, the scene ends up scattered. Some notable spots: The 'Fruit Loop' situated on Paradise Road resembles a strip mall and hosts a collection of gay bars alongside clubs, and Krave club is located right on the Strip. Women who are looking for women should keep an eye out for dedicated evenings designed specifically for them. While there exist only a handful of exclusively homo hangouts, stereotypical gay behaviors are simply commonplace, making Vegas feel like a massive party geared just for you. Behold actual divas (not merely drag queen impersonators), gorge upon shrimp, put on a boa, dance throughout the night, and completely cut loose. Being accepted—nay, actually expected—if one cannot share at least one memory, you haven't really experienced Vegas.
