Denzel washington daughter gay

The internet has become quite captivated by Denzel Washington's daughter and her towering, six-foot-four spouse

Rather than just a bisexual icon onscreen, Denzel Washington fills the role of father to Katia Washington, a queer film producer who looked stunning at The Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, walking the red carpet together with her gorgeous wife.

Washington and Colleen Wilson (a former ballet dancer), graced the carpet as a couple; Washington chose a brown suit while Wilson stunned in a voluminous black gown. The internet became immediately fixated on the pair, largely because of their striking height difference: According to information from blogger Sandra Rose, Wilson stands tall at 6'4, whereas Washington is 5'2.

It goes without saying, the sapphic community online expressed some envy towards the duo. As one viral post stated, 'There is not a single more fortunate individual in existence.' Indeed, Washington seems to possess it all: a thriving career in Hollywood (this year saw her executive producing the Netflix adaptation of The Piano Lesson, starring her brother John David Washington, and directed by her other brother Malcolm Washington), coupled with a swoon-worthy marriage.

In a parallel storyline, her father, Denzel, has brought queer representation to the big screen via Gladiator II, in which his character, Marcinus, is a messy bisexual nobleman. He recently expressed his disappointment over a gay kiss being omitted from the motion picture.

'I did, in fact, kiss another man in the movie, but it was cut. They took it out of the final version. I believe they lacked courage,' Washington stated sometime ago. 'I kissed a guy right on his lips, and I suppose they weren't prepared to showcase it just yet. Even though I killed him approximately five minutes later! Considering it's Gladiator. It is, perhaps, the kiss of death.'

The movie, nonetheless, offered a good amount for queer enthusiasts to appreciate, though Denzel's gay kiss remains missed. Fortunately, we have Katia, who gives us more than an adequate amount of real-life queer joy in order to compensate.
